Mexico mission trip 2007

We’re off!

We left the church right around 7 am, and we were all pumped and ready for the trip.

Before we left the church, each of our group, Mike, Natalie, Ian, Paige and Vernon, received Disciple Crosses that Tina made for each of the team. These are special crosses made out of horse shoe nails that Tina bends and wrap together with colored wired. These are to be worn as we work.

 

We had an uneventful trip, minimum of stops, with plenty of visiting, reading and snoozing. We picked up Dan in New Braunfels and made it to San Juan safe and sound.

 

We checked in to the Basilica, unloaded out stuff and Mike went to Harlingen to pick up the folks from the Louden, TN church. It was good to see friends - from East Tennessee.

 

After getting settled we walked across the street to the Pizza Inn for dinner and then hit it for the night.
